Update on Proposed Fire Station at 82nd and N. Topeka Blvd.

On December 13, 2010, the Shawnee County Planning Commission gave approval for a conditional use permit to establish a public use facility (fire station) on the property on the northeast corner of the intersection.  Our next step in this process is to go before the Shawnee County Commission at their January 6th meeting for final consideration.  We would like to thank all the patrons that attended the Planning Commission meeting and also to those who wrote letters in support.  It is greatly appreciated.  Your future support is also appreciated.
